Different types of classification of computers

The first generation computers
The first generation computers used in vacuum tubes the process speed was very low these computers are very large inside and it is difficult to write programs.
It is used in the year of 1946 to 1958.
The second generation computers
The basic characteristics of the second generation computers is as follows
. In second generation computers they used transistors by replacing of vacuum tubes.
. It was smaller and faster and also more efficient than the first generation computers.
. The second generation computers they contained the features like operating system disk storage etc.
. it is cheaper than the first generation computers.
. And it will also have computer languages like COBOL common business oriented language and fortran formula translation were used in during the second generation for programming. The second generation computers used 1956 to 1963.
Third generation of computers
3rd Generation computer is as following the characteristics
* it will be replaced by integrated circuits and it also called as chips.
* third generation computers smaller in size and cheaper as compared to the second generation of computers.
* they used Mini new input devices such as scanner magnetic ink character reader etc.
* the capacity of RAM is also increased.
The third generation computers is used 1964 to 1971
The fourth generation computers
At present we use now the fourth generation computers then this type of computers have the following characteristics.
# it will have much greater than computing power and extremely large memory compared with the computers of the first generation 2nd generation 3rd Generation.
# and we have many storage devices like pen drive CDS DVDs etc are available now which have great storage capacities to store the data.
# And computers can now be linked together or network to share memory space software information and peripherals devices.
# in the fourth generation of computers uses largest store integrated circuits and very large scale integrated circuits.
The fourth generation computers using 1971 onwards
The fifth generation computers
The generation computers have artificial intelligence and more and more features it will also called as supercomputers they have large storage capacity and high speed related to highly sophisticated operations and they take their own decisions as there based on artificial intelligence.
